To Celebrate its 30th anniversary, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Puerto Rico decided to show the communities that art is for everyone. In order to get the community involved they created a project called “Proyecto Santurce” in which they produced activities inside different small communities of the barrio. Throughout the documentary we learn what members of the museum and leaders of the community think about the Museum’s role, what the community means to them and how they have helped. We conclude the documentary with a performance by Awilda Sterling Duprey, in honor to Ismael Rivera, showing us how the community can express and make themselves heard through art.
